Facilitators

Dee Barnard

Co-founder and Co-owner.
Facilitator and co-originator of Swim Dynamics courses Level One (LTS) and Level Two.

Dee first started as a swimming instructor in 1991 when she couldn’t find a suitable accredited swimming school for her children. She took it upon herself to get qualified and form her own successful swim school. Holding several qualifications such as a SSA National Teaching Certificate and the Masters Stillwater Lifesaving certificate, Dee has run a successful swim school in Johannesburg for over 30 years, teaching all levels from basic water safety to stroke development. In recognising that there was a need for higher standards of swimming instructor courses in South Africa, Dee teamed up with Bev to raise the swimming standards within South Africa and to train aspiring swim instructors using a holistic approach aimed at teaching swimming correctly.

Teaming up with Bev to create Swim Dynamics has been one of the highlights of her career! With a strong passion for sharing knowledge and empowering people to become successful instructors, the Swim Dynamics team is raising the caliber of the swimming profession and creating more opportunities for swimming instructors nationwide.

Bev has taught swimming for 35 years and ran her own very successful swim school on the East Rand. She has been a swimming instructor and facilitator for 27 years.
